The Problem
Lawyers in New York City have difficulty navigating cases and court appearances due to antiquated software systems. Simple information like courtroom numbers is often hard to obtain. Lawyers sometimes physically travel to the courthouse just to access records because online systems are unreliable.
Room changes occur without notification. Information is scattered across multiple disconnected systems. The friction costs thousands of hours of attorney and judge time every year.
The Solution
NYC Litigation Tracker aggregates essential public data scattered across these systems, providing easy access to daily schedules and courtroom locations in one place.
Current Status
The data is publicly accessible but terms of service prohibit automated access. I'm currently working with NYC legal system authorities to change this policy and enable a solution that could save significant time for lawyers and judges across the city.
Impact Goal
Reduce case backlogs and streamline the NYC/NY legal system by eliminating the friction in day-to-day court operations. When lawyers can focus on law instead of logistics, everyone benefits.
